Welcome to Term 5: 2017 - 18
Welcome to Term 5 in Oak. Mrs Amey is the class teacher, with support from Mrs Moon, Miss Bouskill and Mr Wright.
At last the sun has come out and we are making the most of our outdoor learning environment.
This is an important term for our Year 6 children and we will be working very hard to show off our brilliant learning in KS2.
In our topic work we will be investigating minibeasts and their habitats, finding out how to classify animals and compare their environments. Using our investigations as inspiration, we will be studying form and perspective in Art and making models in DT. Aware of our responsibility as global citizens, we will also be debating ethical issues in PSHE and learning about Budhhism in RE. So, an exciting time ahead.
This term, PE will usually be on Mondays and Wednesdays, but please make sure PE kits are in school every day for any extra sessions we might have.
SATs week begin Monday 14th May - please help our Year 6 children to give their best that week and encourage them in their efforts. We look forward to celebrating with them when they have finished!
