National Society Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools Report
The distinctiveness and effectiveness of East Wold Church of England Primary School as a Church of England school are outstanding
The strong and committed beliefs of the headteacher underpin the caring and supporting ethos which is based on Christian principles. The Christian ethos, supported by the parents, has a significant impact on the school’s mission to cement its partnership with the church and the local community. The school is particularly effective in meeting the needs of all learners through its dedication to providing an interesting and stimulating curriculum and a clear focus on high standards. Collective worship plays a central part in the daily life of the children and the staff. It is clear that collective worship, with its distinctively Christian character is a major influence on the children as they move through the school. Religious education is an important aspect of the curriculum. The children make good progress and achieve well. All children are recognised and valued by the headteacher and staff. There is a clear, unambiguous approach to leading this school as a church school. The governors are keen to emphasise that this is a church school for all.
