What does a FEWS helper do?

FEWS helpers are parents and carers who lend a hand when they can. You might run a stall, help at an event, bake a cake, support a school trip, listen to readers or help with a one-off activity. There’s no regular commitment — just volunteer for the things that suit you and your availability. Every helping hand makes a difference!

A helper might:
*Help at FEWS events, including setting up, serving refreshments and clearing away.
*Run a stall or activity at school fairs and events.
*Help organise or prepare for events when needed.
*Bake or donate items for cake stalls, raffles or other fundraising activities.
*Sell raffle tickets or help with other fundraising activities.
*Help with one-off activities or projects throughout the year.
*Share ideas, skills or useful contacts with FEWS.
*Volunteer for an hour or two when they are available.
