Uniform

We believe that uniform gives our pupils pride in belonging to our wonderful school community. The Governors and staff are proud of our pupils and want people to recognise our school's high standards of good behaviour and learning attitudes when we are out on visits. The school uniform is designed to be practical but comfortable and relatively inexpensive. We ask you to co-operate in providing the following clothing:

• Emerald green sweatshirt/cardigan with embroidered school logo  
• White short-sleeved polo shirt
• Dark grey tailored school trousers/shorts for boys or girls  
• Dark grey skirt/pinafore dress 
• Green gingham dress during warm weather  
• Grey/black school tights
• Dark coloured, sensible school shoes/closed toe sandals
• Plain black fleece can be worn in school during colder weatherPE – to be worn on PE/swimming days

PE – to be worn on PE/swimming days

A plain white t-shirt, navy/black shorts or plain black/navy jogging suit (not branded) and trainers.  

Pupils will usually be barefoot for gymnastics and dance. Plimsolls and trainers do not allow a child's foot to grip on the PE apparatus so cannot be worn for these particular lessons.

Long hair must be tied back for safety.

PE & Earrings Policy

We strongly recommend that any stud earrings are removed for PE sessions where possible, either by the child prior to the lesson or ideally before coming to school. If earrings cannot be removed, then they should be sufficiently taped by parents / carers prior to arriving at school.

School staff are not permitted to remove earrings or tape them, and are not responsible for the safekeeping of earrings that are removed.

For any planned ear piercing, we encourage parents to ensure this to be done at the start of the 6 week summer holidays to allow earrings to be removed for PE days.

Personal Property on School Premises

Pupils are responsible for their personal possessions. All articles of clothing and possessions brought into school should be clearly labelled with the child's name.
