The Governing Body
The Governors’ Role
The Spire Federation has one Governing Body who make the strategic decisions for East Wold and North Cockerington Church of England Primary Schools. They meet at least once a term as a Full Governing Body. School Governors have legal duties, powers and responsibilities for making sure the school is providing the best quality of education. They may only act together: they cannot act individually.
Parents on the Governing Body
Parent Governors are elected for a term of four years and may remain to finish their term of office on the Governing Body after their child leaves the school. Parents are informed when elections are due to take place.
The Governors work closely with the staff and parents to ensure that the best provision is available for the children in our care.
The Governors represent the County, the Church, the community, the staff and parents.
